Dear Protesters, don’t feel guilty, take care of yourselves

Categories Opinion
My good and active friends, I know some of you have not taken a mental break, have not breathed easy and have not stopped feeling guilty about the protests and those who have sufffered from government led terrorism. But this is going to be a long fight and we need to change guards and stay ‘hydrated’.

1. Dont try to attend all protests. It will only tire you out.
2. Keep apolitical friends. Socialize. The fight takes a toll, make sure your schedule breathe some non-activist air.

3. Eat out, catch a movie. Taking a break is okay.

4. Don’t fight alone. Align with others, an org or a group and find a cause. This way you will make an impact and not feel frustrated.

5. Mind, muscle, money – chose or alternate between different ways to contribute. No matter what you chose, it is fine.

6. Cut out the poision – If you think the other person is redeemable, interact. If the same moron is shitting on your timeline for 6 years, remove. Cut the baggage.

Have faith. Regimes are stronger and bigger and mightier. Have faith in people, peace and those who are putting much more on line than we are. Human goodness wins. Eventually.

I care for all you good souls and love your standing up. Take care and reach out to the community. We are in it together.
