wendy's cyberhub gurgaon

I got an invite when this place opened. I wondered if I would like to review a fast food chain and never went there, until i did, yesterday. They had massive standees all over the place and the bacon caught my eye. We walked in, the price seemed extremely reasonable at 179 rupees or thereabouts. And, the burger was damn good, with fried chicken, lettuce and tomato. The only other burger chain that serves bacon is Jonny Rockets and the prices don’t compare. The railway…Continue Reading “Wendy’s, Cyberhub”

metropolis bar restaurant paharganj

Metropolis is a victim in Paharganj. It stands a little far from the crowd, right at the entrance, a little aloof and arrogant. May be, that’s why people hate it. Reading the reviews on Zomato, I almost decided not to walk in. Thank satan, I did. The restaurant is small, built like an alcove of an afterthought within the hotel. There are two rows of tables divided by wide pillars. It is certainly not pretty. The lights are not dim but not too bright either,…Continue Reading “Metropolis Bar & Hotel, Paharganj”

letsshave.com review

What are you doing on a Sunday evening? Surely, something infinitely more interesting. I am writing about a razor. But wait till I finish before you declare me vain. By the way, this post is strictly for men. By now, it must be evident that I like cheap things. I am absolutely delighted when the cheap thing is good too. So, when I saw this certain firang razor spend the amount of money they did on digital ads, claiming the stars and the moon, I…Continue Reading “My experience with online shopping: Letsshave.com”

Today was the first Monday of the Delhi Odd Even rule and I tried everything to dodge the bullet. Though, it has been going wonderfully well so far – been on a long weekend off and never got out of the house. The city has been behaving alright too, not too many violations, the transport infrastructure has not come crashing. There is but one disappointment. The carpool apps have not really taken off. I decided to try a few and started with the Orahi app….Continue Reading “Odd even rule in Delhi: A review of carpool apps”

Writing about food is tough and complicated, especially when you have bad experience. If the place is small, you are a bully. If the place is popular, you are an attention seeker or a pest. Anyway, I will take the risk. Last evening, we had to take an old friend from US for dinner. The friend is not new to India but wanted Indian food. I was confused between Kathputli and Lahori Gate, both being very close to where I live. Eventually, we discussed all…Continue Reading “Shiv Sagar, Janpath”

Gurgaon is another planet. A very remote and rough planet. It used to be inhabited by a species called jats before its discovery. I don’t venture there. I avoid friends who live there. I block recruiters who call from there. I even refused to pick up my parents from the airport as it is halfway down on the road to Gurgaon. But I happily drove down for food. I read reviews, I did my homework and was supremely excited. Finally, the planet has something good…Continue Reading “Roots – Cafe in The Park, Sector 29, Gurgaon”
